About Nancy Alexander MBA MA CMF™

Watching Nancy listen changed the way I work.”
-Marketing Firm Owner

If I weren’t a coach, consultant, and Certified Master Facilitator™, I would be a weaver or a music conductor. My name means “Grace, Helper of Mankind.” An only child of theatre parents, I learned from an early age to listen thoughtfully and cherish each individual’s strength and worth.

Visionary and practical, I believe my work is to draw out the wisdom and knowledge of clients and stakeholders to help them find their own answers, expanded vision, and opportunities, and to support them in their paths forward. I’m recognized for my ability to question, listen, focus, and help weave together sometimes-differing ideas into useful, whole cloth.

I began my career in brand management, marketing, strategic planning, and new ventures with Procter and Gamble and American Express. After serving as a Bank of America vice president, I launched one of the first green consumer product and service companies in Connecticut, and then founded my consulting and coaching practice.

A graduate of New York public schools and subways, I earned both a BA in sociology and an MBA from Yale and an MA in women’s studies from Southern Connecticut State University. I was a PhD candidate in religious studies at Lancaster University, UK. One of my proudest accomplishments is becoming the 25th lifetime-tenured Certified Master Facilitator in the world. In between, I’ve climbed seven 14,000-foot mountains, completed two marathons, and raised four daughters.

I love the moment of the “shared aha” – the new insight, new priority, new direction – and the paths it leads to.

I believe:

  • we are all here for a purpose, and that we have the capacity to fulfill that purpose.

  • that the wisdom you need is already in you, individually and collectively – my job is to help reveal it and give it form.

  • that beneath even seemingly great differences are similar needs and desires, and that finding common ground leads to agreement on paths forward.
